I recently bought Warcraft III and I love this game. However I am horrible when it comes to taking care of CD's. I tried to make a backup of the CD, and it worked. Then when I tested the CD I got a message saying that I had inserted the wrong CD. I know that this game is copywritted but I still should be able to make a copy of my own CD. Can anyone help me with this problem as I have already gone thru 5 CD's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
without an illegal alternative (which i know nothing of) you could try getting a program called ClonyXXL which will discover and tell you what copy protection is being employed, then get Daemon Tools and use an emulation, hey presto. hope it workd'
Warcraft III is copy protected by Securom 4.68.xx depending on what patch update you may have. Read this and you'll be fine: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/26771 or... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/43802 Remember, making a perfect back-up is very burner dependant. Emulation may still be required. Alcohol 120 % can provide emulation. Daemon Tools can provide emulation. Weycraze Edit for SP
