please help , can i get rid of that blasted warner bros logo at the start of the movie , it must be in the first vob file as i ripped the main movie only and it is there when I play it on the dvd player in IfoEdit, subsequently when I try to rempeg it the logo will transcode ok but the movie ends up all fuzzy/jerky is there a way to get it out using just ifoedit any help would be greatly appreciated

It's usually the first chapter which you can remove by having dvdecrpter rip everything but the first chapter.

Sometimes though the first chapter also includes part of the film (Ocean's Eleven for instance)

Search for Ocean's eleven and my username for a thread describing how I did it (keeping the logo as well) with rempeg.

yep mate , I did it and it worked thanks , however I have ripped Attack of the clones, rempeg it , the resulting movie has a sort of flicker for the first 40 seconds and then periodically through the film , any pointers would be a great help
    cheers :0)

    Fraid not

I watched Ocean's eleven last night and it fell over in the last third, the image kept chopping up. I think this is a rempeg limitation. Given the time that it takes and the fact that I have no real problem changing the disc half way through I think I might stick to splitting to two discs from now on

    Hello all..
    here's my $.02 worth..

i have ripped oceans 11 without problems. I ripped the movie only. i opened up ifoeditor and removed the other audios and subtitles and also the stripped out the VOD ID 1. After it created the new files, i transcoded the movie with rempeg2 and then remuxed them back together.
for some reason if you try to transcode the movie without removing the logo, it will make the movie look scrambled.
    hope that helps
    peace
