??????? i have no clue what you are asking...?? you purchased an OEM drive and you want to know how many times it's already burned a dvd/disc??

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer, meaning it doesn't come in the fancy retail packaging and usually includes only the DRIVE itself w/ or w/out cables/software depending on WHERE you purchased it...

are you saying you bought a USED OEM drive? or a new one? i don't get your question....

    docTY~

Here's a system for commercial use, also known as a duplicator:

Some of these systems will handle 1-8+ drives. This is some major usage.

I don't believe there is a way of telling how many actual burns are on a drive.I've got 1500+ on one of my benq 1620s and she's still holding strong.

I've heard of a way they use to track down backups to their original drive.Similar to bullets from firearms through forensics. That's some high tech stuff.

Unless you are using that drive in a duplicator like I posted, you should have no worries about voiding that warranty. With the quality of these drive:If you don't have any problems right away, then she'll burn up a storm!

The only thing I know that can void a warranty is having a bad flash/crossflash of the firmware with a hacked firmware. With the exception of abuse,LOL
