Hello Afterdawn. I don't post in the PC forums much as I'm always over on the PS3 forums. But anyhow..

Today, while doing laundry, I tossed my jeans into the wash and walked off. Only to realize, after they were done washing that I had left my Flash Drive in the pocket. I pulled it out and it was, of course, soaked. I know better than to put it into my PC, as I know that would definitely mess it up. So I left it in the window so the sunlight could evaporate the water out of it.

    My question is,
    1. Do you think it will still work if I let it dry out completely?
    2. What would be the fastest way to dry it out? (sunlight, compressed C02, etc.)

By the way, it's a PNY 1GB... Don't really want to lose my data. =(

Any help is GREATLY appreciated. =)

I once went fishing with a nokia cellphone switched on in my pocket.
We were launching the boat into the surf so of course I waded out waist deep to hold the boat while we waited for the waves. It was pretty messed up for a while but after drying it out on the hot water cylinder in my house it started to work again, still goes.
Leave it for a few days and give it a try.

Thanks. =) I guess it should still work if I let it dry out completely since a flash drive has no source of electricity as long as it's not plugged into a computer. I'll give it a few days.

Yeah, it should be fine. Just let it sit on a heat register for a few days if you want to be absolutely sure.
