    Problem with recording.
I can set my Wave Out Mix to zero volume, and the recording level is still way too high (clipping)
    Strange problem. Please Help!

I'm using Adobe Audition to record wave out signal, for example, internet radio.
Intel D865GBF mobo with SoundMAX 4XL audio (latest driver), XP Pro.

The Windows Recording Mixer Wave Out Mix volume control is very touchy, and anything above 8 percent is completely clipped, at zero, I still have clipped audio occasionally. Don't know why this is so.
If anyone can point me to the right solution, link, etc. I would be very happy.

Well, I don't know if I can really help you about the clipping problem, but maybe the problem you have is software related. For example I use www.radiotracker.com for internet radio recording and works perfectly.
Did you try another tool, axcept Adobe Audition to record wave out signal?
    I hope I helped you a bit :)
