I am a little new to this technology. I was wondering if anyone out there knows how to do webcam to internet. My relatives are watching my 5 month old and I thought it would be a cool surprise to the wife if I could rig our laptop so that she could go to a weblink and see what he is up to throughout the day. It's gotta be doable if my friend's friggin doggy daycare has one. Anyone know where a good place to start would be? As far as best webcam and how to link to a secure URL?
Yeah so that might work but it's not exactly practical as say eg you close window by accident then your screwed, cos in most cases a baby wont be able to accpent a webcam invite at work lol. And also this is at work; So what if Msn is restricted / d/l'ing stuff? As for your problem fisthado I did a quick google on the topic and didn't find much but I am not in that area rly so someone on Ad must be able to help you... **Post Edited**
a webcam on MSN Messenger would be perfect. All it needs is for the relatives to accept a video conversation (or start one) then you have your web link; if it goes off then simply restart the video conversation
weehee! Creaky agrees with me!! anyway... i do not think the messanger is your best option... i mean its a solution... but, you know. what the other guy said. Might not wanna use messanger. Or you could just not close the window accidentaly and usally an office doesnt filter anything but pornographic material and material that is against the law, so there should be no problem there.
