I have my recordings from my camera on my Hard Drive. And now I want to burn them. I use Nero Express, and then DVD-Video Files, which supports .VOB, .IFO and .BUP. I have alot of recordings from about ten CDs and the recordings from every disc has its own folder. Back to the problem. I add the first folder which takes up about 1 GB. Now I want more than that on my DVD since I have more to burn. SO I try to add another folder with the recordings, but since the file names are the same as from the other folder, it asks me if I want to replace it. Since I don't want to replace anything I cancel this, and change the files names from the second folder I want to add. With my second attempt on adding the second folder an error comes up.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------
One or more files could not be added to a compilation.

The following files may not reside in the VIDEO_TS directory of a DVD-Video compilation. Only compliant DVD-Video files
    VIDEO_TS.IFO,
    VIDEO_TS.VOB,
    VIDEO_TS.BUP,
    VTS_nn_0.IFO,
    VTS_nn_0.VOB,
    VTS_nn_0.BUP and
    VTS_nn_m.VOB
can be added to the VIDEO_TS folder. Please add files from a completed DVD-Video title or use an authoring software like Nero Vision to create DVD-Video files from standard video files such as *.avi and *.mpg.

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Filmy\Czerwiec 22, 2006 - Lipiec 2, 2006\VTS_01_01.BUP

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Filmy\Czerwiec 22, 2006 - Lipiec 2, 2006\VTS_01_02.IFO

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Filmy\Czerwiec 22, 2006 - Lipiec 2, 2006\VTS_01_12.VOB
    -----------------------------------------------------------------

Please help me! Do I need to convert the files? I know how to convert the .VOB files but not .IFO and .BUP.

You can't just burn multiple DVDs to one with Nero Express. You need to use nero Recode-"Compile DVD", or if you want to create menus so you can select each video, you can use Nero Vision. Also DVD Flick can compile and author a DVD with menu from all your recorded videos.

Thank you very much, however Nero Recode doesn't support .VOB, .IFO and .BUF. .VOB is for the video, .IFO for the sound and .BUF is the backup for .IFO file. DVD Flick doesn't support the files neither.

What are you trying to do, if you are trying to make a DVD you can't just randomly put folders on a disk, it won't come out. Try using Nero Vision Express for your project. You can create a menu and add the folders one by one.

Yeah, I am trying to make a DVD. And I know that when I put the folders randomly on a disc it won't come out. Read my first post in this thread, I explained why I can't use express.

So I should compile the files in DVDFlick and then burn them with Nero Vision? Also, could you explain exactly how to use DVDFlick, because when I want to add files I open the folder with the recordings and it is empty.

Ok I used Nero Vision, and I opened the folder with the recordings and they were there! I added them and now I have another problem. An error popped up while the files were adding and it said something about the files not being licensed. And then a second error came saying "Unable to insert."

whats the exact 2 error messages? upload pictures pls...

    it could be that these:

    VIDEO_TS.IFO,
    VIDEO_TS.VOB,
    VIDEO_TS.BUP,
    VTS_nn_0.IFO,
    VTS_nn_0.VOB,
    VTS_nn_0.BUP and
    VTS_nn_m.VOB

arnt true dvd structured named files

    or

you dont have the appropriate licence/plugin for mpeg2/dvd serial installed to nero? not sure... check plugins and/or licenses in control center/nero.

In DVDFlick I set it on All Files, and the files were there. I added them and now I have another error. I don't know how to upload an image, but it says: The file could not be opened. The file may be corrupted or it's format may be unsupported.

You only need the VOB files in DVD Flick, not the BUP and IFO...
