I got 2 computers at my house and on one of them we got cable. So i wanted to put cable on both comps so i got a wireless d-link (DI-524). Now it all works i can use the net and everything on the main comp but on the other comp it says im connected to the internet and i can go on msn and msn explorer and that, but when i go on "internet explorer" it just a white screen and after a few minutes it says that it "cannot find server". Ive been messing around with the settings but still no change.
did you try resetting your settings in IE? I know one thing that helped a friend of mine was .. right click on IE -> go to the Connections tab -> click LAN settings and uncheck all those boxes. then go to the advanced tab and restore defaults. that worked for him when he got a new router. gl.
DNS error my friend from what you have said im 100% sure of it, D-Link are famous for the DNS errors, tell me what ISP you are on and ill help you further. BTW have you had any problems of the connection just stopping and you cant access any sites from any other browser but the router still says you are connected.
