My computer is slow and everything is really big like my desktop icons and even the web pages are big and to the side i cant close the windows because the red x is over too far, does that make sense? thanks
First of all is it a virus attack or spyware attack... big difference if i may say....if you got virus problem i suggest you scan the drive and remember to delete some undeleted that you put into the virus vault before you restart your comp but don't ever deleted the vault's system (dll) infected file. Could screw your comp... If its a spyware attack then spyware doctor is the way to go and do a full scan..don't worry about the invalid reg when you update your virus def. Coz when your online and install first time it will automatic update v.d... always do a boot time or safemode scan if you are not sure if your compeletly clean all the virus from your comp. If above still don't help then def. its your hd fragment than slowing the comp...well that's just an opinion. Hope it will help...hate to see fellow to suffer slow comp coz i once take a punch from deadly brontox and it takes me weeks to recover my system. lol good luck
You know when its in safe mode and everthing is big thats what is happening. Do you know how to bring the font back down to normal size.
Right click desktop > Properties > Settings > Screen Resolution > above 800 x 600? To change font sizes: Right click desktop > Properties > Appearence > Advanced > Item: font can be changed on each item.
it is at 800x600 thanks i swichted it to 1024x768. that was the only other choice. i dont know if its my imagination but now it seems even smaller than originally. would anyone know of a way to speed up my internet is pretty slow.
Yeah, it will look smaller until you adjust. Do you use DSL, Cable, Dial-up, T1 or other? I'm assuming your using broadband, since most everone does nowadays. Here's a link for some tweaks you can try. Hope it helps. http://www.broadbandreports.com/tweaks
hye there... ok u need to this it might help in ur speed.. u hv this log in ur logfile: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k those are files tht are unnecessary to run automatically as u can run it manually... it is an autoloading prog from ur registry and tht maybe is the cause of ur speed going slow...so here is what need to be done.. >>you can disable these by - right clicking on My Computer, selecting Properties and then the Advanced tab. Click on the Settings button in 'Startup and Recovery'. In the bottom pane - under 'Write debugging information' - click on the down arrow and then select 'None' - OK your way out thanks..
