What did i do wrong flashing my mod chip??

    i have an xecuter 3CE and i tried to flash it with an evox program and it did it sucecfully and it turned off and everything but now when i go to turn it on, first it turns on indicateing that the chip is off (red) and then shuts off and turns on a gain saying that it is on (blue) and then the eject button blinks red and green and nothing comes up on the screen, no error code or nothing. what did i do wrong?....but it still turns on when i turn the chip off and go on....can i delete it and get it off my chip or what can i do???

    Did you flash a bios that was compatible with your XBOX version? It sounds like you may have flashed a bios compatible with v1.6 on a v1.0-v1.5 system or vice versa.


    You can get back to your X3 Config screen by changing the switch settings on the bank selector.

    what do u mean like change it from 1 on,2 on,3 on,4 on to 1 off, 2 on, 3 off, and 4 off ?

    yes that would change the bios bank settings, I beleive there is some tutorials in the Xecuter 3 section of our tutorial page that can help you with the dip switch settings: http://www.xbox-modchips.com/tutorials.html


    You should determine what version xbox you have and what version bios you were trying to install on it, a bios for an incorrect xbox version is most likely what is causing your system to 'frag'
