just bought a dm800 s box from dreambox.me.uk and its on the way to me.

I now require a quad LNB as I will prob get another box soon too.

I suppose I will need a sat finder too ? any recommendations ?

I want to buy a dish that will pick up any sat within Ireland's range.
what dish should I buy- does it have to be a motorized one to pick up multiple sats ?

If so can anyone recommend what size dish I require and maybe even a spec/supplier that I can buy from at a reasonable price on the scale ?

Hi chip....a standard 60-75cm dish will do. This is the standard mesh dish you see on all the houses. With this size you can pick up Astra28 degrees, Astra19 degrees and Hotbird13 degrees. These 3 sats have everything you need and more (HD channels, 3D channels, sports, movies, childrens channels, everything)...no real need to have any more than this.

thanks for the response, so do i need a motorized dish to connect to the 3 sats u mentioned ?
anybody got recommendations of where to buy a dish in dublin ?
will a mesh dish the size u mentioned be better than a solid dish ?

im gonna buy a 0.1db quad LNB or is a 0 degree monoblock better ?
im also gonna buy a 0.9m dish, im thinking
gonna run 2 dreamboxes boxes from dish.
ideally im thinking i want a motorized dish as i want to future proof the dish so i can pick up pretty much any satelite i want, well as big as that dish is capable of finding!

how are the motors usually controled- via your receiver box or separate remote ?
do i need a specific type of motor to match dish or is any pair compatible ?

what would be the usual stand off wall bracket(L shaped bracket)size required for a 0.9m dish ?

    anyone ?
