what do i do if i reformat my computer and accidentally delete the recovery console?

I am currently using a Win98 and i dont have the recovery file. I have a HP Pavillion Slimline and it came with a Windows XP Media Center Edition, and i really love that! I went on the website (hoping to download and reinstall it back again) but it was about $20. Isnt the company suppose to help you if you have any troubles? If anyone noes how to do this, please comment this. =D I looked on search if this topic was up already, and i couldnt find anything so i made this bold step to start up a thread. I know you guys dont like ppl making the same threads for the same topic, and yes, it DOES get annoying. Well, anyways, thanks in advance!

 

HP, Dell, IBM, and others are very good a getting those last bucks out of you. I think if you bitch enough they will come around.
