    Hi,

Is there any difference at all in the Panasonic VDR-D300 and VDR-D300EB?

What does the EB suffix mean?

Some reviews talk about the D300, others the D300EB, I was just wandering if these are two different models, or if it's the same thing.

    Cheers.

I don't know these models and I am not sure, but usually camcorder manufaturers use the suffix "E" for their European models, to indicate that they are nEutered (Video-in disabled).
This is done for tax reasons. If video-in is enabled, the camcorder can be used as a VCR and these are taxed against a higher tariff.

Cool, thanks so much for your response. I'm gonna buy that camcorder online, I just wanted to make sure it was the same one I've been reading good reviews about.

I now feel confident that I'm getting a good camera.

    Cheers.

Be careful, I said "I am not sure", so doublecheck this info at Panasonic before making your decision...
