Basically I am asking because I would like to be referred to better software.. as of now I use DVDSanta to Encode and Shrink Avi files to DVD, and I burn the finished VOB/DVD files St8 to a Disc with TmpgENC DVD Author.. This works wonderful, seeing that i usually keep most of my quality, even for very long movies.. my only complaint is that, afterwards the playback is usually unstable, going in and out of synch, frames pausing and skipping, etc.. this isn't all through out the movie, but it does it atleast a few times on every single disc i've burned. (Which is annoying). I sometimes have to go back a chapter, or restart to get it back in Sync.. What is a better tool that can burn DVD files straight to Disc besides TMPGENC or Nero, plz, i'd appreiciate any opinions on good software..
    thanx..

Thanx for the reply, what i meant to say is that, i need a replacement for a "Writer", I use DVDSanta to Convert it to DVD, and DVDSanta doesn't burn the finished product too well, so I need a DVD Writer that will simply Write the "already converted" DVD files to a DVD Disc in like 15 minutes or so with a tool like TMPgEnc DVD Author's writer.

DAMN!!! None of you guys apparently read what i was asking for!! geeze, i said that i don't like Nero, but everyone keeps suggesting that shit program.. ok, firstly, i don't like Nero because you need a damn $50 dollar plug-in to convert, and it is too slow.. And i said i needed a DVD writer guys, not a image recorder like alcohol 120%!! it doesn't write already finished DVD folders like Tmpgenc dvd author does. forget it then, i'll ask some where else..

oh, and what i mean by nero being slow, is that, every time i try to burn an entire folder, it just reencodes it over again for another 2 hours when it's already in DVD format.. ok then, how do i use nero to just do a quick burn of a dvd folder?

open nero , choose dvd video , then new, and then drag your vobs and ifo files into the video_ts folder in nero.

    then burn compilation.

i dont think you even read your own post properly, you said you dont want a converter only a burner. when i and others recommended nero, you took it the wrong way.

naw, it ain't all like that.. i just said that obviously no one read it, because i specifically said anything but Tmpgenc or Nero, but every body still insists on Nero! But as far as dragging the VOB folder into nero vision, i did that. i went to DVD Video..
then i looked for "NEW", but it doesn't exist, i have nero 6, i only gives the options to capture video, add files, make slide show, and import dvd-vr.. now, when i add the VOB files with "Add Files", it reencodes them all over again, and THEN BURNS!! I just want something that with burn already finished dvd files like they are supposed to. if nero does that, i must be doing something wrong, or nero 6 just doesn't have that..

I just told you above that you can burn with DVD Decrypter, instead of Nero. You can also try free trials of CloneDVD2 or CopytoDVD by VSO sofware.

    open with nero burning rom.

choose dvd video , then new, and then drag your vobs and ifo files into the video_ts folder in nero.

    then burn compilation.

nero vision is the authoring suite, not the dedicated burning suite

OHHHHHH!!! no wonder!! i've been doing it with Nero Vision for the longest until i just gave up and used TMP, and i hated nero for it.. but me being vastly inexperiences, i am only now seeing that what you just said makes sense.. i never did it with the Nero Burning ROM, i thought it could only burn CD's.. Thanx, you helped me a lot!!

AND TO THE OTHER GUY WHO SAUD BURN WITH DVD DECRYPTER, I DIDN'T DISREGARD YOUR SUGGESTION, I'TS JUST THAT DVD DECRYPTER DOESN'T RECOGNIZE THE dvd/VOB FILES CREATED BY dvdsanta.. (It won't load in any mode).. don't ask me why, but they won't. but i think that i have this figured out now though if i can burned with nero burning rom, i don't need anything else, Tmpgenc just wasn't doing it for me..
