What happens if you burn a Menu but not all the stuff it links to?

Would the Menu Links simply not be clickable? Or will the DVD crash? Like if you only put the main movie on the DVD and take out everything else, but leave the original menus. Would it even work at all?

I never tried it. Just curious.

Hi Denzien, I edit my movies with CloneDVD. I sometimes take out certain extras that have menu links. If I click on the menu item and the item is missing, it just blinks out for a second and comes back to the menu. No actual problems.

It all depends what app you use to strip away the "bits" you dont require. The menu buttons remain functional, if their functionality has not been "removed" by the chosen app. If you select a "removed bit" via the menu the DVD will not crash, it will simply switch back (most of the time!)to the menu, prompting you for another selection.

App's to look for when stripping are "DVDstripper, Vobblanker, Titlesetblanker (all free) or DVDremake (commercial) Remake is far more advanced & configurable than the 3 freebies.

    Hope it helps.
