i keep getting this error :semaphore timeout period has expired, can't continue this operation. it's a dvd that had some scratches on it when i got it and i used a dvd doctor to polish the scratches out. i was getting a cyclic redundecy error but now there are no visible scratches at all so i'm getting this error and i don't know what i can do about it. please help. thanks
That has to do with synchronisation. It could be because your system has sleep mode enabled. It also could be that the drive in which the disk is has stoped spinning long enough that it has went into sleep mode. If it is the drive itself I dont know what for you to try now. If it is just system sleep disable it to see. I have not seen that error for a long time. Last time was with a jazz drive way back.
i don't use sleep mode. anyway, it's goge back to the cyclic redundency. i figured out the exact file that's messed up, unfortunately it's part of the main title. is there any way around that? thanks.
