Someone told me that Norton sucks now?

    I don't know anything about Anti-Virus software.

I just keep hearing the names symantec, norton, mcafee, avg, kaspersky, and avast a lot.

    Which one should I get?

AVG works great. low CPU usage as well... something like Zone Labs has fairly good security system package but is a CPU hog and can slow down your overall application speed etc etc.....

and secondly i agree totally Norton is TERRIBLE!!! make sure you have other applications like CC Cleaner. Ad Aware Pro webroots for spyware etc

i've been using Mcafee at home and work for years, and since 8.0 came out it's very lean on resources. i personally detest the Norton equivalents myself

AVG Free should do for anyone....

If not I'd like to know why.
