I've been hearing that mp3 formats are a lossy format. What do you suggest to be the best audio format to use for most audio players. I have a H10 iRiver, so I use iRiver Plus for my audio player. What do you suggest?

well it all depends on what type of formats your player can support. True, formats such as mp3 and wma are lossy, however you can achieve very good quality from mp3s if encoded properly. Use eac (exact audio copy) and LAME to encode your mp3s at VBR bitrates and you will create very good mp3s. we have a guide here on how to setup and use EAC/lame:

There are also lossless formats such as FLAC, however it is not supported by most portable players as of yet.
