I've tried watching various videos in moonshell using my DS-X (go ahead and laff 0_0), but the ones I encode at 20-15 fps skip so I went down as low as 8 but still skipping and losing sync w/ audio track to boot.

So, what is the best cart to buy to play movies without these hiccups? Thanks in advance

Did you make sure that your microSD card wasn't fragmented? I run movies all the time encoded by batchDPG at it's default setting (apparently 18-20 fps for my resolution) and I have no problems viewing videos.

I use batchDPG to encode, but as far as my "microSD being fragmented" I don't think that applies to me. What brand cart do you use? Mine is a DS-X which is only one unit, plugs straight in without a detatchable microsd card. Thanks

    I use R4, EZFlash V, and G6Real.

My G6Real is the one that most closely resembles your device, as it has fixed memory.

Yes, it is possible to fragment a fixed memory device.

I had performance problems with my G6 playing video. Very choppy, stuttering, etc. when using the native (G6 supplied) media player.

I used Moonshell and all videos that were a problem with the G6 Media player were not with Moonshell.

I have not troubleshot this further because I only use my G6Real for playing Pokemon Diamond and Pearl with PBR on the Wii.

    Good luck.
