From a beginner user, what would be the best software for "All-in-one" type conversion? I want to convert my DVD's to XviD codec, (as I here this is the best codec to use for quality). I'm looking for a fast program which I can add the IFO or VOB files and convert to one movie without having to join afterwards?

Thanx @ugc. I had a problem though with the latest download they are offering. I tried downloading and installing avi.NET v2.0.5.0 - released 16th January 2006. After install, I tried to run and it abnormally terminates. I uninstalled and rebooted, then reinstalled and it did the same thing. I then ran the repair by running the install again, and it still does the same thing. Is this a stable version? Do you know of a functioning version I could try downloading?

    Thank you for your response!

Thanks guys, I tried both. However, I also tried 1click dvd ripper. Out of all three, I find 1click a bit better but more time consuming. I tinkered with Imtoo more and like the fact you can maximize you processor useage with it.

I more or less use the defaults which are original screensize, PAL 25 fps, bitrate 1100. Although it's a good picture, i do see a bit of graininess when opening to full size. Is the DivX codec any better than using XviD, or are there any particular settings I should be using for framerate or bitrate to maximize the potential of "the best" possible quality I can get from my re-encode?

Thanks everybody, I appreciate the help. This place is great!
