what is the best editing software for movies made with a mini-dvd camcorder. Newbee!

    I am looking for free or pay software (Which-ever is better)to be used to edit about 12 hours of movies made by a mini-dvd camcorder.

    Lots of basic video capturing software out there. Windows Movie Maker is free, but crap.

    Other 3rd party solutions include Pinnacle Studio and Ulead Videostudio. These 2 offer free trial downloads at their respective websites.

    Keep in mind you want to record in DV-AVI but will use massive amounts of HD space. About 3 GB for every 15 min is needed for capturing and double that for editing.
