My teenage son keeps going way over his minutes. I had Nextel (2 I730 phones) 1 for my son 1 for my wife. I got a bill for over $800.00. I paid $300.00 on the bill, the next month they said I had to pay it off in 11 days. I said I could pay $150.00 a month towards the bill, they said no I had to pay in full in 11 days. I said I could`nt do that at this time. Anyway now the phones are shut off. What I want to do know is get a prepaid phone for my son & wife. What prepaid provider is the best & cheapest? Can I unlock my I730 to work with them or do I need to buy new phones? If I need new phones can I use the sim`s from the I730?
personally i have had tmobile for a very long time now and it hasnt failed me i love it the only thing is text messaging on all prepaid phones sucks so i wouldnt suggest that but other than that i can vouch for tmobile
I personally have the Boost Mobile i450, and I love it. It is on the nextel network and I talk to my boyfriend on his nextel all day long. The cost of the direct connect is 1.00 a day. Hope that helps.
I would recommend U.S. Cellulars TalkTracker prepaid. With them you get (don't quote me on this I could be off a little) 400 anytime min per month for something like 39.00 a month. With the TalkTracker you get free in-comming calls and I believe nights and weekends are free for an extra $10 a month. It sounds like contract but its not.... every month you need to go into one of their branch stores and make your payment or you can set up an automatic withdrawl. My fiance has her own cellular shop and I help her out on weekends...so this should be fairly accurate. That is of course if their service is available in you area. vodafone is really good for pre-paid accounts. you can get $49 caps where you pay $49 but receive $230 credit on your mobile phone. you can buy caps pretty much everywhere, gas stations, the supermarkets, but you don't get any special packages like texters or night talker but you get a tonne more credit than usual.
