what is the best software to use to backup my dvd's

    hi ,

    i have a bunch of dvd's that has my footage on it that i own , i wanted to make a backup of them but i wanted to make sure that the quality stayed the same . i didn't want to lose any quality while backing them up . i have used dvd decrypter to rip it to my hard drive and then i burned it thru dvd shrink with nero . is this the ebst method or do you guys recommend something else , any help appericated .

    If they are indeed personal DVDs they have no protection on them and won't require any decrypting. You can use Nero by itself or I'd suggest ImgBurn.

    I just prefer ripping them to the HDD first and running them through FixVTS before I burn.

    clonedvd 2 + anydvd works very well also

    as you say, they are personal dvds you might also like to run them through tmpgenc dvd author , and use the chapter cut edit function just to clean some of those frames out that you dont really need. I started using it to edit my skydiving footage.Found its very easy to use
