I bought a TDK indiCapture VC-2600 to capture video from my camera and stream on my website. The video capture device came with ShowBiz, I was wondering what is most popular video capture software. ShowBiz capture in mpeg1 and mpeg2, but the file size is enormous for web streaming.

Another question... What should I do if I want to play the mpeg1 or mpeg2 file on my dvd player? Just burn it on a dvd?

    Thanks!

i'd say Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas and Canopus Eduis are the top Video Editors.
But they are high end Editors costing thousands.

For a cheaper consumer Video Editor I'd say Sony Screenblast Movie Studio is good value.

Also Pinnacle Studio 9 is good too, but I find its a little buggy still and its encoder isn't really up to scratch.

Sony Video Editors trials can be found here:

    Pinnacle Studio 9 trial here:

With your other question, even through its capturing in Mpeg1 or 2, you normally need to re-encode the video with your program then author it.

Both those programs I just mentioned do that.
