What is the best way to clean a disk?

    What is the best way to clean a scratched up DVD? I know of the toothpaste method (but i would like some more information on that)

    Washing Machine Gentle Cycle. LOL.

    Well, in the past I used car polish. I think it was Kit or Vista.

    a 20lb Magnet used to do the trick! the old del *.* was slow but effective once upon a time. Reformat seems to work..
    Ohh we're talking a CD/DVD disc! DR Disc...not the new motorized one, but the hand crank resurfacing toy..just remember once around then check to see it it still hangs up..if you crank to much..you could degrade the quality.
