I tried copying a dvd I purchased using nero the process stopped near the end of the burning process. The movie was burned on my disc and I could play it back on my PC but not on any other player

any ideas of where the problem is?
how does one find out what the error is?

what program did you use to transcode before you burned with nero?

make sure you are using good blank media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim burning no faster than 8x max. if you using DVD+R booktype them to DVD-ROM for the best compatibly for playback or use the DVD-R instead

    thanks for answering my quey----

since my query i've bben trying to figure out where my problem is ...my new burner (LG dual burner) my discs (philips DVD+R DL) or
nero. I took two of my movies and decrypted them using afterdawn link tutorials. I tried burning the decrypted files asing nero rom
both digital and iso and i get an error after 2minutes. I then took one of the decrypted files ,used nerovision craet a dvd and it worked for one movie clip (I guess my burner and disc are ok) but not for the movie clip from the second movie.

I am at a loss...should I dump nero and take my losses or use image burn as shown in the tutorials. Sould i send all my log errors to nero support and get them to help. I really want to back up my DVDs.

I've had a similar problem when trying to backup newer movies like The Number 23 and Harsh Times. Just recently I tried using RipIt4Me on Harsh Times, then DVD Shrink, then burning with Nero. One time it failed at like 100% of burning, the next time it finished, but both discs have the same result. When I put them in my Xbox 360, the screen stays black and it can't read the disc. However, if I put it on my PC I can play it.
