when I put the recovery cd in. I get error saying "wrong machine" for the cd that came with the laptop and when I put the system restore cd that I burned from the pc it says that this machine doesnt support system restore. I have to format it with command prompt. I have done it before but I forgot what command it was. can anyone help me with the command or explain to me why wouldnt the cd's work. thanks
If you're going to have to use a DOS boot CD or other, and use it to format, the command line is: format c: If the CDs that came with the laptop don't work for that lappy... call their tech support and see if they'll reissue you new ones.
