What is the difference between a normal dvd and a blue ray disc dvd?

    Hi everyone, I was watching tv and a commercial for Twilight on dvd was shown. At the end of the ad it said 'Available on dvd and blue ray disc now'

    All I want to know is what is the difference between a normal dvd and a blue ray dvd disc??? thanks for answering!

    storage capacity. dvd holds between 4.7 to 8.4gigs wereas blue ray holds 25+ gigs.

    That space translates into way higher image quality if you have a decent TV set.

    But please tell me that you are either very old or very young? :)
