I use XP to split movies. what's the problem?

The best way to change OS is to reformat. If you want to dual boot then you should put ME or 2K on first and then XP.

No idea mate, just never had a problem with it.
I know others have. It may be conflicting with other software on your system maybe?

    MattLee,
Getting rid of XP is like giving away your Porche and paying double the list price for a used Chevette - Don't do it -
Instead let's get you introduced to DVD Shrink. It's free, will rip your movies in generally 30 to 40 minutes.
It allows you to compress your larger DVD 9's to the necessary 4.38GB so that it can be copied to a single disc, keep in or remove menus and trailers and provides you with a nice neat VIDEO_TS folder for you to have Nero burn for you.
Take a second and stop by here -

A powerful program, easy to use -
    Enjoy,
