what is this process?

    in the task manager there is a process running :
    {SCANNINGPROCESS....} under user name it is listed as system and mem usage is 20,732.....is this some sort of windows update crap?
    zonealarm security suite finds nothing as well as hjt..

    and i cant kill this process either.

    I have the same issue. I think it might have something to do with zone alarm because i have zone alarm as well.

    after doing some searching i found it to be a part of the new zonealarm 7...the new version with the big silver Z in the system tray....i just recently upgraded to that version so that explains it...it really slowed my pc down too...way to go zone alarm
