What Is Up With 3 Extremes!!

A horror movie came out called 3 extremes and I have been waiting forever for it to hit dvd. Get it home put the first disc in and all I get is a black screen and a ticking in the xbox. I then out in a game and it loads it up no prob. I then get a normal dvd-r and it loads. So I try it again and I get the same problem. So as a last resort I decide to watch the special feature disc since theres an entire movie on it and it loads up no prob. P#ss%s me off. Anybody knows what the deal is? Yes I know need to get a real dvd player but real dvd player just broke.
