hi, everyone knows there are so many types of dvd media in the market. dvd+r, dvd-r, dvd-rw ... just to name a few.

My question is what type of media is capable of providing the "time-slip" feature.

to reiterate this feature, it allows for simultaneous recording and playback on the same dvd disc.

I only know of DVD-RAM being able to provide this feature along with Hard disks that are somewhat off topic, not a media type. is dvdram the only one????

    thanks.

I thought it was only DVD-RAM (and HDD, of course), but I'm no expert.

Oops! I just did a Google search and found this tidbit about a Sony recorder:

So I guess some DVD-RW work as well.
