    Hi There

    Afew questions...

    1) Is it possible for a computer to burn 2 DVD's at once with minimal error?? (Burning off an image of course, and it may be 2 different images but on the same hdd)

    2) Core2Duo and QuadCore CPU's are only effective when the programs being used can efficiently spread themselves over each core...? Or does windows know how to spread out the programs essentially using each core?

I'm unsure of what mobo to get.
All I need is lots of sata ports, 2 IDE ports, ps2mouse and keyboard, onboard NIC, 1xpci-e slot and 3xpci slots. And it needs to support RAID, and sata hot-swapping.

All I use my computer for is downloading, uploading, watching shows and listening / organising my music collection. In the near future i will be using it for audio producing which uses a lot of cpu which is the reason for me getting a quadcore.

    Any suggestions?

You will need to buy a PCI IDE card for the second IDE port, as motherboards very rarely contain more than one these days. Dual and Quad core CPUs don't balance themselves out over single-threaded applications, but if a program can make use of two cores, and you run another at the same time that uses one, on a quad core, three of your cores will be used.

My brother inlaw was burning 2 at once with DVDFAB Plat. He never told me about any problems, but he may have had 2 Fab programs loaded on his cheap emachines, or a cheap HP. Hope this helps
