What program do I use to play .Ratdvd files?

I tried several prgrams already, which one is most compatiable with ratdvd files? One other thing, do I need ratdvd installed to play ratdvd files? I didn't think I did because it is only used to compress the files not play them. Thanks,

 

Windows Media Player 10 is the recommended player, but it hasn't worked for a lot of people (see http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/197903) You also need direct(x) 9 and you might need ratDVD installed as well.
