what security programs should be installed

    I got a new desktop and am wondering what security programs should be installed? It has Windows 7 64bit. I am considering Avast or ESET antivirus but not sure what the difference is. I will be using Outlook.

    i use avira anti virus,superantispyware,and malwarebytes,and turn on the windows firewall.
    all free by the way.
