What should I uninstall make system faster

Hi I just bought a new laptop hp pressario f500 It came installed with vista home basic I want to make it faster . I am not sure of what I should uninstall . Tere are about 20 hp programs such as hp wireless assistant and hp setup core and hp help and support ect



should I uninstall hese are are they even slowing down my pc are should I leave them installed.

Also how do you uninstall a driver you dont need any more

Personally, I'd uninstall Vista if you want to make your laptop faster. That's the first thing I did when I purchased my laptop. Actually, I tried it with Vista for a few days and then loaded XP Pro after I couldn't stand putting up with a brand new laptop that's slow. Of course, this requires that you have access to the media and that your model of laptop has drivers for XP.

 

Yah but I dont want to uninstall vista because some of my games are only copatible with vista

 

Could you give us a list? A screenshot is fine... then we can tell you what you probably will and won't need.

 

Is this even possible yet the OS is only 1 year old and I don't think they would do this.

 

Yes, I'm afraid it's true, M$ made some vista-only games...
