MP4 isn't a format. It is a 'container' for audio and video. Are you trying to remove the DRM from iTunes? If so this has been discussed a lot and using the 'Search' function will probably get you what you need.
mp4 maybe only audio so it can convert by audio converters. if have video also can use some audio video converter to extract audio from mp4.
