Making your own dvds. I've tried using Windows movie maker to create my own dvds from mpegs my Sony Digital camera creates, then burn to dvds. The problem I run into is Win Movie Maker creates the movie in a Win Media file & doesn't give you the option of making it a mpeg. I also tried to use Click to DVD, software that came with my Viao notebook, but it doesnt recognize my mpeg files. I wanted to know what software options do you guys use??
When you save to HD in Win Movie Maker, don't use the "Best option for playback on my computer" (i think there's a hyperlink there or something). Anyway, inside the list you'll find the DV-AVI format. Huge, ya, but if you have the HD space, you can then encode that to MPEG. Oh, and TMPGEnc can handle WMV-encoded files; just choose *.* All Files when selecting the video file.
Once I changed the format for saving my movie, I always get a error msg that theres not enough HDD space(I have 22Gb) or the original file isnt in the same location (it hasnt moved). I dont know what to do next.
