hi, I just got a new movie on my computer and i have a dvd burner but I don't know what to use DVD-R or DVD+R or something else. I have a Samsung CDRW/DVD SN-324B does this even burn dvds if so could you please tell me which ones to buy thanks
A simple google seach shows that its a CD-RW/DVD-Rom combo drive .. so it doesnt matter what CDs/discs at the moment , not until you get a dvd writer (sorry to be the bearer of bad news) http://reviews.cnet.com/cd-drives/samsung-sn-324b-cd/4505-3207_7-30458257.html
I'm new at this but what your saying is no matter what cd's i have i cannot write the movie to a disc ad watch it on my dvd player
Your Samsung drive will PLAY movies, but it cannot record them. It can both record and play CD-Rs and CD-RWs. It may be possible to convert a movie to a VCD format with a great deal of compression (which will affect video quality--it will look surprisingly good on a very small screen and disappointingly bad on a large screeen), and that VCD format can be recorded to a CD-R on your drive. Some DVD players can play VCD discs; some cannot. You will have to check your DVD player manual to find out.
