Hi guy's, just wondering what type of ds roms can I play on the ds firecard. What I mean is I see a rom that is a EUR which is obviously europe and then I see some which is US which is obviously the US lol but what I want to know is will the ds firecard support both of the regions ? Or will I have to get the particular region.

    Cheers

P.s I ask this because I have a couple Firecards ordered, I don't actually have them yet so I just want to know for when I receive them which should be Monday.

    Nintendo DS is region free.

The Country code associated with the ROM typically specifies the country that the original cartridge was created for and the ROM has been written with specific lanuage support.

Ex. USA ROMS only have English text, Japanese ROMs only have Japanese language characters

The NDS cannot "translate" the native language into a different one. Language support is embedded the cartridge.

For ROMs with the European language designation, it varies, but most that I've seen support English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

Cheers for the reply mate :)

Ah I see, so basically if I stick to using US or EU roms I should be fine as my native language is English unfortunatly lol

But yeah I'm expecting to get my firecards in the morning/tomorrow and a mate gave me a loan of his rom disc, he owns the roms ofcourse ;) and I'm just checking them out and I see some of the roms are the same as in "supermario blah US and supermario blah EU" so I was wondering if there was a differance, but as you say it's just language.

Cheers for the reply mate :)

Just an update on this. Yep I received my cards yesterday but only got round to sorting out the roms today, and yes they all work perfect. I have to say I'm very impressed with the ds fircard.
I had a few buddies from here in Ireland wanting to know what the firecard is like, and yeah I'd definitely recommend it. I think I put 40 roms on the kids ds, and the little buggers just didn't want to go to bed tonight lol

Anyway, cheers for the info in this thread, I need all I need to know on this, for now anyway :)
