I asked a few weeks ago if my pc could handle a xl800. Pc can't I found out. I recently have started purchasing some of the things that were suggested to me by ddp and others. Thank you for that. But me and the wife decided what would we could do 4 now and then in the future give this pc to the kids and then build a real one. My ? is with my specs, what video card could I buy that would be better than integrated graghics, but still not be a waste of $? Psu 250 watts 2.8 512 ram agp slot 8x Memory is one of things I'm upgrading so far.
Before you upgrade the PSU, i would highly suggest getting a better PSU, im suprised your psu can even handle that as it is.. i would suggest 400w or higher,, their not gona hurt you to bad money wise, they can cost anywhere from 20 bucks to 50 bucks, and if you buy a case, it might come with a psu.. so thats a tip i am giving. and one question i have, is this like, a computer that you will build? or did?? or what? and what kinda os? and mobo?
I totally agree with Liez4love about the Psu bing ONLY 250 watts, and upgrading your psu should be the first thing you do before anything else. Just for future reference when you build your "real" computer. Buy a psu 400 watts or more. You dont want a weak psu powering other powerful hardwares. Right now i have 2 harddrive, a 3.3 p4 (overclocked), geforce fx 5700 le, and i am thinking about upgrading my psu to 500
Liez4Love & TonyDo, Ustop has either a hp or compaq machine & we talked about a getting bigger psu but can't do because of propriatory case
