    Star Wars episode III ripped to HDD with dvd decrypter and burned with dvd decrypter.

    Big with Tom Hanks was my first.

    Just used DVD Shrink.

    Three Kings, to DivX using SmartRipper, DVD2AVI, BeSweet & VirtualDub (using a guide from here of all places). Took about a day to encode too at awesome quality. Man we've got it easy these days with Shrink and so forth, DVD burners were unheard of back then...

    The First movie I backed up was Bride and Prejudice. It was kewl :)

    The first one I backed up was a Wiggles DVD. My little girl had scratched it so bad that none of my DVD players would play it and it was one of her favorites when she was 2 yrs old. It was still readable in the PC so I was able to make a backup.
