first of all I would like to thatk you all in advance for your help...O.k, well I have looked at buying a projector for quite a while now but just didn't have the money. I just got a job and am starting to see a little income. I have a budget of around $1,500 and want to get the best bang for my buck if I am going to blow my whole load on this thing. My room is only about 11 feet long and I have a flat off-white colored wall. I have a little bit of ambient light because of cracks in the sides of my shades but not much. I am mostly wanting to hook this up to my dvd player,ps2.ect.I am looking for the best resolution possible with the best colors possible.I was wondering what you guys would prefer for my current situation, and maybe if possible a suggested site to go for buisness.I would appretiate it!
    Thanks
P.S-I have a fan on the roof of my room so ceiling mounting won't be an option.

HI, Have a look at a few decent performing projectors i have lined up for you:

If your budget could stretch to this one, id highly recommend it:

Otherwise, here are some in your range that are decent:

This is a cheaper, SVGA version of the XGA Benq above:

i have a similar question but im working with a budget of roughly $3000-$3500. my uses will be strictly home use- hdtv, movies, playstation and xbox. im not only wishing to include a capable projector, but also a respectable screen as well, preferably a 16:9 (min 100").

i recently visited a local electronic store and they directed me towards a sony cineza (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=VPLHS51&Dept=tv&CategoryName=tv_ProjectionTVs_FrontProjection). i loved the picture, but the price of this unit alone tops my hopeful budget, and id still need a screen. is there a comparable unit which will fit better into my budget or am i better off sucking it up and upping my costs?

    thanks in advance.
