I hope you know that just because you have your two drives in a raid array, it doesn't mean that they spin twice as fast... It seems like a decent PC, although I think you're aiming a little high. You paid $2k nearly 4 years ago...so it should be worth around $750. edit typo
i thought i was aiming a little bit high and thanks fot the tip and i didn't know that but my buddy did and he asured me that the hardrives are running at the rpm of 14400 but i hope i can still sell it for atleast 950 and i missed calculated what i paied for it. i paied 2k total including monitor so for the PC itself i probably paied 1600 i know a person like you who knows what they are talking about would never pay what i am asking but most people will i think pay 1100 becuse of the case itself just looks amazing and you dont see that in the everyday desktops so hopefully i prove you wrong thanks for the quote though P.S has anyone sold a pc lately or bought one if so.. how much and what was it this would help compare thanks in advance
im not sure in this case so i wont argue but thats why i like this site i learn something new every time i guess my friend is not as bright as i thought
yes your friend was incorrect. in a raid array the drives share the data (so if one drive fails the other supports the system) but the drives are still independent drives, and they only spin at one speed. good luck selling your computer, just beware that it is difficult for individuals to sell used computers because of the market. For example, ebay is a horrible place for an individual to sell computer parts, because there are huge companies on ebay that buy stuff in bulk and sell cheap. Your best bet is putting the word out at school/work, or finding a family looking for a basic internet/word processing computer.
