Have no problem on most vcr tapes but several when i try to record screen goes white or flickers. When i stop recording goes back to normal. I have a compro gold pci card does a great job for a cheap card except the occasional protected vcr tape. What are the routes i can go to resolve this and what do i search for when looking . Searched www.Newegg.com but i dont know what i am looking for.
You are encountering Macrovision copy protection on your commercial VHS tapes. You need a device called a Video Stabilizer to remedy this, connect it between the video out of the VCR and the Video in of your capture device.
