I'm sure this is a very basic question: What is the difference between writable/re-writable DVD's and the ones Hollywood makes? Why aren't I able to create DVD's that are as compatible with DVD players as Hollywood does? Thanks.

Hollywood DVDs are sometimes dual layered, which will hold twice the information of a DVD-R/+R or RW.

Now call me crazy, but with the right software and a little determination, DakotaJoe, you can create a DVD that is compatible with DVD players.
