I have a sim card that is about 7 years old which currently resides in a v550. I was attempting to pair it to a bluetooth head set but couldn't get past the enter pin stage. SO how do I find my pin, I hve tried the 1234 default and no joy. And if I turn the phone off after two attempts can I avoid locking the phone on the third try, please help.

u sure that you need the PIN number of the sim for this?

Sim pin number is generally entered when the phone is turned on to unlock the sim and allow the phone to work.

If you're simply trying to PAIR the phone with a bluetooth device, you just need to enter the same numbers on the phone and bluetooth, and they can be any four digits, just as long as they match when entered into both items.

If your sim is truly locked and u can't even get the phone to boot up. Hmm yes I think default is 1234 but since u've tried that try 0000 or maybe u set the pin code to your pin for your ATM card or some other commonly used 4 digit number you've used before.

Last resort, call the service provider, I think they can reset it, but not positive.

Thanks for the quick reply Eskimonio. Indeed the phone needs a set up pin to link the two devices, so I gave the 0000 a try and as if by magic they are now linked.

Go raibh mhaith agat, (Thank you) again for the help.
