I just recieved my Seagate Barracuda 1TB drive with a Vantec Nexstar MX enclosure.

I've also read about the different file systems, but I still can't pull out the info I need. Basically I'm looking for the best file system to set this drive up with. Is there one system that will give me more free space than another? Is one more reliable than the other?

I only have XP systems that will be using these drives.

All sorts of data, but yeah mainly media...music, movies....but also OS back up.

I really just need to get the data off the old 98 drive, then I think I might put XP on it, or partition and run both depending on if I can get a certain program to run in XP.

Ok I guess what I can do then is make a partition using FAT32 for my WIN98 files and then NTFS for the remaining XP data?
