whats the simplest & cheapest way to record a vhs from home dvd?

can someone tell me what is the simplest and cheapest way for me to record a vhs from a homemade dvd?

i have a dvd/vcr combo and it doesnt do it. i have a seperate dvd and vcr players also and no luck. i have a laptop with an s-video port so im assuming i have a video card? im going nuts here changing cables around for nothing!

last time you guys were great on my dvd burning problem so someone help me before i throw my players out the window??? lol thanks

 

If this is truely a Home made DVD then there should not be any reason at all why you should not be able to record the DVD to VHS justing a VCR and a DVD Player because there is No form of copy protection on Home made DVD"s .....
If your Lap Top and a S-Video output and a Speaker output then you could play the DVD on your laptop and output it to the VCR and record the DVD.....

why go from DVD to VHS when DVD is the Better format??? Good Luck

 

how about connecting the dvd player to the tv and getting the output from the tv to vcr.

then again, like minion said. why bother with vhs. dvd player can go as cheap as 30USD. no more excuse now eh.

 

the reason for dvd to vhs is because we are musicians and got a dvd made for us on a dv-cam but the agencies nowadays are still stuck on vhs tapes for admissions.

therefore i needed to make a vhs copy of a home dvd. thanks for your help but i found a dvd/vcr combo made by "govideo" that is sold in costco for only $100 that can do it at a push of one button. i needed one anyway for my bedroom due to lack of space so now i can do it of course only dvds without macrovision or dvds that are decrypted.

 

Well Like I said before ythere is no reason why you can not use a DVD/VCR Combo to record or just hook a VCR up to the DVD Player outputs and record like that....That is the easiest and most reliable way I know of....
