Is this the first forum all the newbies hit before getting round to reading the rules or something?

this is one of the forums i haunt a few times a day, it's used as a dumping ground by lazy posters; the crap ones get closed and the ones that should be in other forums get teleported to the right place

Well I couldn't find a place to put that hotmail one. So I stuck it in here. Sorry about that.

I find that the p2p section gets hit pretty badly once a flush of new users arrive, I have a feeling they sign up just to go that section and ask for a damn invite.

I see so many threads all in one row with "(closed") all asking for invites.

LOL, creaky, now I can literally visualize you as that skeleton ;)

EDIT: One more thing to both the mods here, do you ever consider DELETING those threads completely to free up the clutter?

mods can't delete threads just posts. all we can do to a thread to make it disappear to regular members is to hid it as we do to most spam.

Exactly what I was talking about. It looks much neater when those "closed" signs donot appear.
    Anyways, it's your call..

we can indeed hide them, i tend to leave them as closed in the (vain) hope that other posters see them and get the hint as to what's allowed and what isn't. However it's a good point, things aren't improving around here so maybe i'll start hiding most of them...just annoys me that i spend a lot of time cleaning up the crap and the idiots just keep being idiots. Ah well, i could always go do somnething else, no skin off my nose :)

Nothing. Just that I feel spending 75% of the time in cleaning up others mess is not joy.

oh i see; indeed. i honestly don't know why i bother; i sign in each morning and evening for a lengthy catchup/clearout/tidyup, and respond to any email replies as and when for the rest of the time; but i often wonder why i spend the time as it's exactly the same the next day :)
Must be because it's a big popular site with half the planet subscribed LOL.
